Some claims about skincare, nutrition and healthy ageing are well studied. Others are promising but early, and some are mostly marketing. To make that difference visible, educational content in Glow Over 40 can carry one of four evidence levels.
The four levels
Supported by multiple good-quality human studies, systematic reviews, recognised clinical guidance and/or established scientific consensus.
Supported by human research, but the evidence may still be limited, mixed or not yet conclusive.
Promising early research exists, but more high-quality human studies are needed.
There is currently little or insufficient reliable human evidence to support the claim.
How we choose sources
We prioritise peer-reviewed human research, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, recognised medical and scientific organisations and official health authorities.
Commercial product pages, influencer content, advertisements and marketing claims are not treated as scientific evidence.
We never invent studies, citations, authors, journals, DOI numbers or links. If a source has not been verified, the topic shows that the source still needs verification instead of a citation.
Important to know
An evidence rating refers to the scientific support for a particular claim. It does not mean that a product or treatment is guaranteed to work for you personally.
